Advance Your Understanding of Soiling Losses in PV Projects

Renewable NRG Systems is proud to introduce its new Soiling Measurement Kit. The easy-to-install system provides users with the data needed to quantify the site-specific impacts of soiling due to snow, dust, and other particles, on prospective and current PV projects. The Soiling Measurement Kit was designed as a complement to our turnkey SRA System, which features our SymphoniePRO data logger. This system is well-suited for both pre- and post-construction purposes.

RNRG's SRA Systems Improve Power Prediction Accuracy by 14% at Japanese PV Project

After implementing SRA Systems from RNRG, Pacifico Energy increased the accuracy of power output projections at its Kumenan PV project by up to 14%. The gain allowed the company to secure more competitive financing terms to build the PV plant.

After careful consideration and planning, RNRG has decided to discontinue the manufacture and sale of the SymphoniePLUS3 Data Logger (effective July 1, 2017). If you are using SymphoniePLUS3 on new deployments, we recommend switching to the SymphoniePRO Data Logger at your earliest convenience.

RNRG Discontinuing Sale of P2546A-OPR Anemometer

RNRG will no longer sell the “A” version of the WindSensor P2546-OPR Anemometer as of this summer, with a final ship date of June 30, 2017. This change only affects the P2546A-OPR model, which has a square wave output. We encourage our customers who have historically purchased the square wave (“A”) version of the sensor to transition to the newer, sine wave (“C”) version at this time.

RNRG Shares News of Bat Deterrent Technology at AWEA O&M Conference

On February 27, Dwyer Haney, the Product Manager for RNRG's Turbine Control Solutions line, participated in a panel at the AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference in San Diego, California. The panel, titled “Best Management Practices for Mitigating Bat Fatalities,” brought together a number of industry experts to discuss the operational issues surrounding AWEA’s best management practice (BMP) for reducing bat fatalities at operating wind sites. 

RNRG Offers Free Recycling to All Customers

Nearly ten years ago, RNRG introduced a program that tackled the proliferation of electronic waste by reclaiming and recycling any obsolete or damaged electronics equipment from customers. Today, that initiative has grown to include all products sold by RNRG. The service, which is offered at no cost, is handled by our standard Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process.

Ventus and Consertek Technicians Attend Electronics Training at RNRG Headquarters

Led by Technical Support Specialist Natalie Babij, the training focused on RNRG’s SymphoniePRO data logger and included a product overview and programming session that introduced the trainees to the SymphoniePRO desktop application—an intuitive software package used to process raw data files as well as configure and communicate with the logger itself. The hands-on training also covered RNRG’s suite of sensors, iPacks, and its turnkey SRA system.

RNRG Kicks Off 35th Year by Producing 100% of Its Energy On-Site

RNRG has added two fixed solar arrays to its LEED Gold-certified headquarters in Hinesburg, VT, allowing us to meet all of its electricity needs with on-site, renewable energy. The upgrade coincides with our 35th anniversary.
