The EXECUTIVE team provides strategic leadership for rnrg.
With decades of combined experience in energy and business, some executive team members have been key participants in the renewable energy industry since its inception. Others bring diverse experience in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and human resources from other sectors.
Chairwoman and Owner
Jan (Blittersdorf) Blomstrann, chairwoman and owner, joined our company in 1987 and helped build a global organization that now serves more than 150 countries around the world. She played a key role in shaping the wind industry as it moved from a fringe sector to a mainstream source of power.
Prior to becoming chairwoman and owner, Jan served in various roles as RNRG’s president, vice president, CFO, and CEO—driving the creation of the company’s financial systems, unique compensation package, and hiring and leadership development programs. Her focus on workplace excellence and sustainability has created a vibrant organization recognized by The Wall Street Journal, Best Places to Work in Vermont, the Vermont Governor’s Office, and the U.S. Green Building Council (for our LEED Gold buildings).
Jan was the first woman to be named Wind Woman of the Year by the Women of Wind Energy (WoWE), an organization that supports the recruitment and advancement of women in the wind energy industry. In 2012, she was recognized as a Champion of Change by the White House, and she was the 2013 recipient of the Terry Ehrich Award for Excellence in Socially Responsible Business.
